The Phillies took game four, 4-3 in eleven innings to earn a split of the series with the Reds. Just when it looked like Cole Hamels was going to pick up his first loss against the Reds, the offense came to life to get him off the hook. The Phillies and Reds were tied at 3-3 when John Mayberry Jr. hit a walk off single in bottom of the eleventh to give the Phillies the 4-3 win. The Phillies improve to 58-67, and gives the Phillies sole possession of third place in the NL East. The Reds drop to 76-50.
