It was a good Friday night for Philly sports. The Eagles were in clevland to take on the Browns in preseason game #3, and the Phillies were at Citizen’s Bank Park taking on the first place Nationals, that still doesn’t sound right Anyway, here is a little recap of both games.
Phillies 4 – Nationals 2 – Kyle Kendrick had another strong outing taking a 3-0 lead into the seventh inning, and running his scoreless innings to 21.2 before givng up a two run homer to (Mary) Tyler Moore. Charlie manuel used most of his bullpen in the eight inning to protect the lead, and Jonathan Papelbon picked up his 28th save. Jimmy Rollins had 2 RBI’s, and Chase Utley, and Ryan Howard added an RBI each. the Phillies improve to 59-67, and the Nationals drop to 77-48.

Eagles 27 – Browns 10 – Game 3 of the preseason for the Eagles was a matchup with the Cleveland Browns, the team they will be facing in week one of the regular season. with Mike Vick done for the preseason rookie QB Nick Foles got the start with the first team offense, and he contiues to impress throwing for146 yards, and 2 TD’s. The Eagles defense looked good creating havoc in the Browns’ backfield. Can’t wait now to see what they do to the Browns in week 1.
