Here is The Sports Den’s predictions, or guesses on how the NFC North will end up at the end of the 2012 season.
NFC North Final Standings
1. Green Bay Packers – The Packers won the NFC North last season with a 15-1 record. the Sports Den doesn’t see thme having another 15-1 season, but it will be close and they should win the division again this season.
Prediction: 13-3
2. Detroit Lions – The Lions went from NFC doormat to second place in the division last season with a 10-6 season. The only reason they wouldn’t finish with the same record or a game or two better are injuries to Calvin Johnson of Mathew Stafford.
Prediction: 11-5
3. Chicago Bears – The Bears finished last season in third with an 8-8 record. Matt Forte has a new contract and Jay Cutler has a new weapon to throw to in Brandon Marshall. they should improve over last season but will still finish behind the Packers, and Lions.
Prediction: 10-6
4. Minnesota Vikings – Finished last in the division in 2011 with a 3-13 record. Are Percy Harvin and Adrian Peterson enough to help Christian Ponder? Probably not, and the defense isn’t what it once was. Should finish last again this season.
Prediction: 6-10
