Can the New Orleans Saints win the division without head coach Sean Payton, and a few key players? This could be a three team race to win the division between the Saints, Falcons, and Panthers. the Sports Den is going to make it’s prediction,or guesses on how the NFC South is going to end up in 2012.
NFC South Final Standings 2012
1. Atlanta Falcons – Finished second in the division in 2011 behind the Saints. The effect of all of the suspensions involving the Saints will allow the Falcons to win the division in 2012
Prediction: 11-5
2. New Orleans Saints – The Saints won the division in 2011 with a 13-3 record. The Saints are still dangerous, but without Sean Payton the Saints will lose a few game they could have won with him.
Prediction: 10-6
3. Carolina Panthers – Finished third in the division with a 6-10 record. Should improve on that in 2012, just maybe not enough to win the division, but could be in the hunt for a wild card.
Prediction: 9-7
4.Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Finished last in the division in 2011 with a 4-12 record, bad enough to get the coach fired. Former Rutgers coach Greg Schiano takes over in 2012. Will probably finish last again, but could show a little improvement.
Prediction: 6-10
