The AFC South used to belong to Peyton Manning and the Colts, not any more. manning is gone and the Colts, well they finished at the bottom last season with a 2-14 record. It was the Houston Texans who won the division for the first time last season with a 10-6 record that earned them their first appearance in the playoffs, should be a repeat this season.
AFC South – 2012 Final Standings
1. Houston Texans – The Texans find themselves the best team in this division. Finished last season with a 10-6 resord, and could be better this season.
Prediction: 12-4
2. Tennessee Titans – Finished last season second with a 9-7 record. Jake Locker is now the QB. If Chris Johnson returns to his old form, could give the Texans a run for their money.
Prediction: 10-6
3. Jacksonville Jaguars – Finished third last season with a 5-11 record. They won’t be a threat for the division or playoffs, won’t be much better than last season.
Prediction: 6-10
4. Indianapolis Colts – Peyton Manning is gone and Andrew Luck is in. Finished 2-14 last season, but are still a few seasons away of returning to the top. Luck could steal them a couple more wins this season though.
Prediction: 5-11
