The Eagles open up their schedule at home taking on the Baltimore Ravens. Both teams are coming off wins in week 1 with the Eagles squeaking out a win against the Browns 17-16, and the Ravens blasting the Bengals 44-13. Both teams have something to prove, the Eagles have to prove to their fans they are not as bad as the Browns game, Michael Vick needs a good game, and the Ravens need to prove they are as good as the Bengals game, which means no letdown. Anyway you look at it, high scoring or low scoring it is going to be a close game, with that said it will probably be a blowout.

Prediction: Ravens 3 – Eagles 2

1. Michael Vick is 6-1 against the AFC as an Eagles QB.

2. This is the third meeting between the Ravens and Eagles, they split their previous two meetings. The first was a 15-10 Eagles win in 2004 – Eagles went to Super Bowl, and in 2008 when NcNabb was benched in a 36-7 loss – Eagles went to NFC Championship Game. Ravens – Eagles 2012 -?

3. The Eagles have lost their last three home openers to the eventual Super Bowl Champs. – 2009 Saints, 2010 Packers, 2011 Giants. So what does it mean if they beat the Ravens?
