After a lost weekend in Houston the Phillies were in New York on Monday night to take on the Mets. It was Cliff Lee vs. R.A. Dickey that turned into a good old fashioned pitchers duel. In the end it was Cliff Lee who picked up the win, his sixth of the season to improve to 6-7, and a 3.27 ERA. In his last seven starts Lee is 4-0 with a 1.63 ERA. Jimmy Rollins and Domonic Brown both homered, with Rollins’ homer being reviewed. Jonathan Papelbon picked up his 35th save of the season.The Phillies climbed back to .500 at 74-74, and climb to 3.5 games out of a wild card spot with 14 games left.
