The Eagles dodged another bullet on Sunday night escaping with a 19-17 win over their division rival New York Giants. The score shouldn’t have been this close if the Eagles would have been able to score a couple of TD’s instead of field goals. The defense had it’s problems, allowing Eli Manning to march the Giants down field to score right after the Eagles would take the lead. With the Giants driving toward what would have been the game winning field goal, the Eagle caught a break when the Giants were called for offensive pass interference. The Eagles almost managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by taking an ill advised time out to try and ice Giants kicker Laurence Tynes that allowed tynes to kick again after missing his first attempt, fortunately for Andy Reid Tynes came up short on the second try. It’s a win and the Eagles are now 3-1, and the Giants are 2-2. Hopefully somewhere down the road the Eagles win one without all of the nail biting. Grade: CCategories: Uncategorized
