The ugly start to the Flyers shortened season just got a little bit uglier with a 3-0 loss to the hated Jersey Devils on Tuesday night. Travis Zajac scored the only goal the Devils really needed just 1:07 into the game. David Clarkson added some insurance with a goal with just :25 left in the first. Ilya Kovalchuck put the finishing touches on the game with a short handed, penalty shot goal. Martin Brodeur picked up his 10th shutout against the Flyers, and his 120th in his career. The Flyers drop to 0-3, and the Devils improve to 2-0. The Flyers have now been outscored 11-3 in their first three games.
