First the bad news, Cliff Lee gave up three runs, the good news the Phillies offense gave him eight runs to work with, and Cliff  Lee and the Phillies beat the Mets 8-3 on Tuesday night.Ryan Howard, Michael Young, and John Mayberry Jr each hit their first home runs of the season by going back to back to back in the third inning to put the Phillies up 7-0, and basically  put the game out of reach. Michael Young was a double away from hitting for the cycle. Cliff Lee came up 1/3 of an inning short of pitching a complete game, at least most of the bullpen got the night off, except Mike Adams who actually needed the work.
