Thanks to a pinch hit two run double by Ryan Howard that broke a 1-1 tie Cole Hamels picked up his first win of the season in the Phillies 5-1 win over the Mets. The Phillies have a three game winning streak after completing the sweep of the Mets. It’s the Phillies first win in a game the Hamels started. The win allowed the Phillies to jump over the Mets into third place in the NL East. Carlos Ruiz returned to the Phillies line up after serving his 25 game suspension. The Phillies pull within two games of .500 at 12-14, and the Mets drop to 10-13.
