With a 4-3 loss to the Twins on Wednesday night the Phillies managed to extend their current losing streak to five games. It was another case of the starting pitcher pitching well enough to win Tyler Cloyd, but not getting enough help from the offense or the bullpen. The loss drops the Phillies to four games below .500 at 31-35, and ensures they won’t finish their ten game road trip above .500 . Cliff Lee will try an end a losing streak on Thursday night that started with his last start.
