It is being reported that the Philadelphia Philles have scheduled a press conference at 2:30 pm to announce that Charlie Manuel is out as Phillies manager.after almost nine seasons. Manuel went 780-636 as Phillies manager winning 5 NL East titles, 2 NL Championships, and 1 World F’n Championship. Manuel recently picked up his 1,000th win as a manager. It was expected that Ryne Sandberg would replace Manuel after the season so there is just a little surprise it’s happening now. Sandberg was a draft choice of, and made his major league debut with the Phillies, and was trade to the Cubs where he became a Hall of Fame second baseman. Thanks and good luck Charlie.
