It’s that time of the year for The Sports Den to try it’s hand at predicting, or better yet guessing, how each division in the NFL will end up at the end of the 2013 season. The number in at the end is the record The Sports Den thinks the team will end up with. Since The Sports Den’s favorite team the Eagles, is in the NFC East that is where we will start. Yes, The Sports Den could be wrong about all of this.
Final NFC East Standings 2013
1. Washington Redskins – Last season the Redskins were sitting with a 3-6 record after nine game then went on a seven game winning streak to end up winning the division with a 10-6 record. The question coming into this season is RGIII going to be completely recovered from his knee injury. If RGIII and the Redskins can stay healthy they should win the division again. 10-6
2. N.Y. Giants – The Giants finished up last season at 9-7, and missed the playoffs. They lost a few key players from last season to free agency, and have suffered some serious injuries during the preseason. They should end up in the same position, and could sneak into the playoffs if they stay healthy. 9-7
3. Philadelphia Eagles – The Eagles finished last season dead last in the division at 4-2. Andy Reid is gone and Chip Kelly and his up tempo offense is in. All the Eagles have to do is win one more game than last year for this to be a successful season, but they could do just a little better than that. 7-9
4. Dallas Cowboys – The Cowboys finished last season at 8-8, and missed the playoffs. Jerry Jone bought in Bill Callahan and gave him play calling responsibilites, taking them away from Jason Garrett. Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan is gone. It looks like they are going to have problems with their offensive line this season from what we’ve been reading online and in the paper. It’s not going to be a good year in Big D. 7-9
Next Up:
