The next division The Sports Den is going to try and predict,or guess, is the NFC North. Here is how we see the division ending up. These predictions, or guesses depend on how healthy each team remains.
NFC North – 2013 Final Standings
1. Green Bay Packers – The Packers won the division last season with an 11-5 record. They lost Greg Jennings to free agency, Donald Driver retired, and they lost RB Dujuan Harris to a knee injury. They still have Aaron Rodgers which give them the edge in the division. 10-6
2. Minnesota Vikings – The Vikings ended 2012 by wining 4 in a row and getting into the playoffs. They added Greg Jennings in free agency. Will Adrian Pederson have another 2,000 yard season, probably not, but they could sneak into the playoffs again. 9-7.
3. Chicago Bears – Fininshed with a 10-6 record in 2012, but did not make the playoffs, and it cost Lovie Smith his job. Marc Trestman from the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL is the new head coach, he does have coaching experience with various team in the NFL. 9-7
4. Detroit Lions – The Lions lost eight straight games in 2012 to finish last in the division. They signed Reggie Bush in the off season. This team still has problems especially on defense. The question heading into this season, will there be enough improvement for Jim Shwartz to keep his job? Probably not. 6-10
