Here is how The Sports Den sees the AFC East ending up at the end of the 2013 season. Again these predictions, or guesses depend on healthy the teams stay.
AFC East Final Standings 2013
1. New England Patriots – The Patriots won the division last year with a 12-4 record. Whether you like them or not hey are still one of the better teams in the AFC and NFL. They have no competition in the division right now so they should easily win it again this season. 12-4
2. Miami Dolphins – They finished second last season with a 7-9 record under first year coach Joe Philbin. They have a tough schedule at the start, and could very well be 1-5 going into their bye. Don’t see them improving much over last season. 7-9
3.Buffalo Bills – Finished last season behind the Jets for last in the division with a 6-10 record. The Bills are going to start the season with a rookie QB since Kevin Kolb is done. They have a solid running game, but that isn’t going to be enough. Should finish above the Jets. 6-10
4 New York Jets – Finished last season with a 6-10 record. After making the playoffs in his first two year as head coah Rex Ryan has watched his team go from good to bad and miss the playoff the last two years. Picked up Dee Milliner (CB), and Geno Smith (QB) in the draft, but they won’t keep the Jets from having another losing season. 5-11
