The Flyers beat the Wild 4-1 to pick up their ninth straight home win, and climb above .500 at 17-16-4, and currently in third place in the Metropolitan Division. The Flyers jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Luke Schenn, and Wayne Simmonds first of two goals. Mikael Granlund scored the Wild’s only goal to cut it to a 2-1 Flyers lead at the end of one. Claude Giroux made it 3-1 with his 10thn goal of the season in the second, and Wayne Simmonds ended the scoring with his second goal of the game hitting the empty net. Scott Hartnell picked up his 500th career point with an assist on Luke Schenn’s goal.
