In a surprising development the Flyers beat the Canucks 4-3 in a shootout to win their third straight game. The Flyers had a 1-0 lead after one on a goal by Mark Streit. The Canucks would come back to take their first lead 2-1 in the second on goals by Tom Sestito, and Jannik Hansen. Claude Giroux scored his 11th goal to tie it 2-2 after two. The Canucks would take a 3-2 lead late in the third on goal that bounced off Luke Schenn and over Steve Mason into the net. Braydon Schenn tied it 3-3 with just :47 seconds left in regulation. It went to the shootout where Vincent Levavalier would score the only goal to give the Flyers the win.
