Jerome Williams made his first start for the Phillies on Tuesday night against the Angels after being claimed off waivers. The Phillies had a 2-0 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth, and that’s where the wheels fell off. First Jerome Williams allowed the Angels to tie it up 2-2. Then Antonio Bastardo threw gasoline on the fire and gave up five more runs to pick up a blown save and loss in the Angels (69-49) 7-2 win. Angels starter C.J. Wilson picked up his first win since June 24, and the Phillies (53-67) fall to 1-8 all time against the Angels.
