Phillies – Giants Recap Quckie Game 2

Kyle Kendrick gave up his customary run in the first inning, a home run by Hunter Pence, but the Phillies offense gave him a 5-1 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth. After Chase Utley, and Ryan Howard misplayed a Pablo Sandoval pop up the Giants score four runs to tie it 5-5. Gregor Blanco’s RBI single in the bottom of the eight gave the  Giants the lead. The Phillies went down 1-2-3 in the ninth, so instead of coming away with a two game winning streak, the Phillies end up with a 6-5 loss. The Phillies drop to 54-69, and the Giants improve to 64 – 58
