If the teams stay healthy this should be a three team race for division title between the Saints, Panthers, and Falcons. Here is how The Sports Den sees the final standings at the end of the season.
NFC South
1. New Orleans Saints -*The Saints finished second in the division last year behind the Panthers with an 11-5 record, and made it back tot he playoffs. The Saints still have one of the scariest offenses in the league with Drew Brees, gets scarier if Mark Ingram has a break out season, their defense isn’t so scary. The Saints should get off to a quick start considering they have an easy schedule to start the season, gets tougher after the bye week. Prediction: 12-4
2. Atlanta Falcons – *Thanks to injuries then Falcons finished tied with the Buccaneers at the bottom with a 4-12 record. Should give the Saints a run for the division title, but will come up just short. Should make it to the playoffs. Prediction: 11-5
3. Carolina Panthers – Won the division last season with a 12-4 record, and get rewarded with a tough schedule. That is the main reason The Sports Den sees them finishing third in the division. Prediction: 10-6
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – This team imploded last season and finished 4-12 good enough get head coach Greg Schiano fired, and replaced with Lovie Smith. Lovie Smith has a lot of work to do in Tampa Bay. Prediction: 5-11
*Make Playoffs
