Not much to recap from this one. Stephen Strasburg held the Phillies to one run and seven hits in 7 1/3 innings to pick up his first win. The Nationals roughed up Phillies starter David Buchanan for 3 runs in the fifth, and added another in the seventh off of Dustin McGowan. The Phillies avoided the shut out with a run in the top of the eighth when Odubel Herrera doubled and Freddie Galvis singled. The Nationals improve to 6-7, take 3 out of 4, and improve to 4-3 against the Phillies  so far this season, while the Phillies drop to 4-9.
