The Reds completed the sweep of the Phillies with a 5-2 win on Wednesday afternoon. The Reds scored four in the first that include a three run Ivan DeJesus Jr home run. Cameron Rupp would drive in both Phillies runs with a RBI single in the second, and RBI double in the fourth. Brayan Pena’s second RBI gave the Reds a 5-2 lead and closed out the scoring. The Red’s Zack Cozart left in the first inning with a knee injury. Hopefully it isn’t as bad as it looked. After losing their first two against the Phillies in Philly last week the Reds have now beaten the Phillies four straight and take the season series 4-2. The Phillies are now 1-9 in their last 10 on the road, have their worst start on the road in their first 30 on the road, 7-23, since 1941, 6-24, and are now 22-39, while the Reds improve to 27-31.
