Part two of MLB’s “Battle of Pa” between the Phillies and Pirates kicked off on Friday night in Pittsburgh. It started off with a 1:25 rain delay, then took thirteen innings to complete. The Pirates and Phillies combined for 24 hits but could only muster one run. That run, unlucky for the Phillies, lucky for the Pirates, came in the bottom of the thirteenth on a single by Starling Marte that scored Chris Stewart, and the four hour thirty four minute marathon was over. The Phillies drop their fourth straight, fall to 7-24 on the road, and 22-40 on the season, while the Pirates win their second straight and improve to 33-27.
