After taking an early 1-0 lead the Phillies found themselves trailing the Pirates 4-2 heading into the eighth inning. The Phillies cut it to 4-3, then had the bases loaded with no one out but couldn’t get the ball out of the infield and that’s how the game ended 4-3 in favor of the Pirates. The Phillies drop to 22-41, and the Pirates improve to 34-27.
