The Phillies ended their eight game road trip with one of the ugliest losses your ever going to see. The only bright side of this one was the Phillies did manage to avoid being shut out. The Orioles set a new club record with 8 HR’s in their 19-3 win over the Phillies. Manny Machado hit a home run in his first two at bats, and the route was on. The Orioles scored in every inning except the seventh when Jeff Francoeur came in to pitch. The Phillies went 24 scoreless innings when Domonic Brown singled to score Oduble Herrera in the fourth. Maikel Franco added a two run homer in the sixth. The Phillies end their road trip 0-8, fall to 7-28 on the road and are now 22-44. The Orioles improve to 33-31.
