The Phillies took 2 out of 3 from the Nationals by taking the series finale by the score of 12-5. The Phillies trailed the Nationals 4-2 heading into the eighth when Jeff Francoeur tied it 4-4 with a two run home run. The Phillies then exploded in the ninth roughing up the Nationals bullpen for eight runs to go up 12-4. The Nationals added a run in the ninth to make it 12-5, but it was too little too late. The final score of this game won’t be the big story, the altercation between Jonathan Papelbon and Bryce Harper will, should be interesting to hear what caused it. The Phillies end with 26-55 road record and are now 59-97. The Nationals drop to 79-76.
