For the second week in a row the Eagles are on national stage this time on SNF on NBC taking on the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium. The obvious storyline of this game is can the Eagles knock the Panthers from the ranks of the unbeaten. The Eagles are coming off a sloppy, but somewhat dominate 27-7 win over the Giants. The Panthers are coming off a 27-23 come from behind win over the Seahawks at Seattle, which if your an Eagles fan you hope it leads to a Panther let down Sunday night. While the Eagles have the motivation of trying to hand the Panthers their first loss, the Panthers on the other hand have revenge on their mind after the Eagles beat the Panthers 45-21 last season on MNF at the Linc. What The Small Sports Blog would like to see is the Eagles defense to keep playing the way it has, the offensive to keep improving and allow DeMarco Murray another 100+ yard performance, and Sam Bradford have his best game yet as Eagles QB and the Eagles do the same thing to the Panthers in this game as they did last season. What The Small Sports Blog actually expects is a low scoring defensive battle with the Eagles making the right adjustments at half time to come away with the win.
Pick: Eagles to hand the Panthers their first loss.
Line at the time of the post: Panthers -3.5/Eagles +3.5
