The Marlins completed the double header sweep of the Phillies with a 7-4 in the nightcap. The Marlins jumped out to a 6-0 lead roughing up Phillies’ starter Nick Pivetta for 6 runs on 7 hits in just 1 1/3 innings. The Phillies would cut it to 6-4 on home runs by Nick Williams and Andres Blanco in the fourth, and Tommy Joseph in the sixth, but that would be as close as the Phillies would get. Mike Aviles’ RBI single in the seventh would make it a 7-4 final. The Phillies drop to 45-79 while the Marlins win their third straight and improve to 62-62.
