After five straight losses the Flyers picked up a much needed win beating the Winnipeg Jets 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. After a scoreless first period Claude Giroux (24), and Andrew MacDonald (5) put the Flyers up 2-0 with goals in the second period, and that would be the score at the end of the period. Patrick Laine (40) would score the Jets’ only goal midway through the third period. The Flyers improve to 35-23-11 (35-34), and the Jets drop to 41-18-9 (41-27).
