The Phillies extended their winning streak to six games with a 10-4 win over the Rays to complete the sweep of their three game series.The Rays jumped out to a 2-0 lead scoring two runs in the first inning off Ben Lively on a Denard Span home run and a Mallex Smith RBI triple. The Phillies scored four in the third on a Rays throwing error and Scott Kingery’s bases clearing double. The Rays cut it to 4-3 on Jesus Sucre’s RBI single in the fourth. The Phillies went up 5-1 in the fifth on a Rys Hoskins RBI single. The Phillies basically put the game out of reach with a five run eighth inning that included a two run single by Maikel Franco, and a three run home run by Aaron Altherr (2). The loss is the Rays fourth straight. Phillies: 9-5, Rays: 3-12.
