The Phillies dropped the series finale to the Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon by the score of 5-3. The loss drops the Phillies to second place in the NL East. The Blue Jays jumped out to a 4-0 lead on a RBI double by Devon Travis in the second, and a RBI double by Dwight Smith Jr. in the sixth. The Phillies got back into it with a three run sixth inning thanks to RBI singles by Aaron Altherr, and Nick Williams. Curtis Granderson gave the Blue Jays an insurance run with a solo home run in the ninth. Nick Pivetta (4-3) took the loss and J.A. Happ (7-3) picked up the win against his former team. Phillies: 29-21, Blue Jays: 25-28.
