The defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles kicked off the 2018 season with a 18-12 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The game was more like a preseason game with both QB’ still a little rusty. Both teams combined for 26 penalties for 236 yards. The Eagles defense held the Falcons to 1/4 in the red zone that included a goal line stand. The Eagles pulled off what is being called Philly Special 2.0, a Nelson Agholor to Nick Foles pass play. Jay Ajayi scored both Eagles TD’s, and a two point conversion. The game did end the same way as their playoff game, an incomplete pass to Julio Jones.
