The Phillies current losing streak reached three games after a 3-1 loss to the Nationals in game 1 of a double header on Tuesday afternoon. The Nationals scored on Spencer Kieboom’s first big league home run , and RBI singles by Bruce Harper, and Ryan Zimmerman. The Phillies avoided the shutout thanks to Maikel Franco’s pinch hit RBI single in the bottom of the ninth. Phillies: 74-69, Nationals: 72-72.
