Phillies – Reds Recap Quickie

The Phillies missed out on a chance to sweep the Reds losing 4-3 on Sunday afternoon ending the Phillies’ win streak at four games. The Reds took a 1-0 lead in the second. The Phillies responded with a pair of runs in the third to take a 2-1 lead. Jean Segura’s sacrifice fly in the fifth made3-1 Phillies. Unfortunately that would be the last run the Phillies scored. The Reds would get RBI singles from Joey Votto, and Eugenio Suarez in the seventh to go up 4-3, and eventually salvage a win against the Phillies. Phillies (37-28): RBI – Hoskins 2 (44), Segura (26). Reds (29-35): RBI – Votto 2 (14), Suarez (41), Peraza (15).
