Phillies – Nationals Recap Quickie

The Phillies managed to avoid being swept by the Nationals after a 4-3 walk off win in the series finale on Sunday afternoon. Matt Adams gave the Nationals a 1-0 lead into fourth with a RBI single. J.T. Realmuto tied it 1-1 in the bottom half of the inning with his own RBI single. Jean Segura made it 2-1 in the fifth with a RBI single. J.T. Realmuto’s solo home run in the sixth put the Phillies up 3-1. RBI singles by Howie Kendrick, and Trea Turner in the seventh tied it up 3-3, on to the bottom of the ninth. After Jay Bruce struck out Maikel Franco ended the game with  home run to give the Phillies A badly needed win. Phillies (48-45). HR – Realmuto (11), Franco (15). RBI – Realmuto 2 (44), Franco (44), Segura (41). Nationals (49-43). RBI – Adams (37), Kendrick (48), Turner (22).
