The NFL preseason is underway and it’s time for The Small Sports Blog to make it’s yearly predictions, or guesses as to how each division will end up at the end of the season. Of course injuries will play a big part on how each division will end up. Going to start off with the NFC East.

1. Eagles – The best team heading into the season. Carson Wentz has boat load of weapons in DeSean Jackson, Zach Ertz, Alshon Jeffery, Dallas Goedert,  Jordan Howard etc. The defense was decimated by injuries last season, so it should be better this season if healthy. 11-5

2. Dallas Cowboys  – Second best team in the division. Should give the Eagles a run for the division. Intresting to see how Ezekiel Elliot’s holdout affects the team, along with Dak Prescott, and Amari Cooper’s contract issues. The Cowboys still have one the better defenses in the NFL. 10-6.

3. Washington Redskins – The Redskins have QB issues heading into the season, and that is never a good thing. Not expecting much improvement from last season. 8-8.

4. N.Y. Giants: Lost their best WR for the season. Could be a long year for Saquon Barkley. The only reason to pay attention to the Giants this season is to see of they bench Eli Manning in favor of Daniel Jones. 3-13
