The MLB version of the “Battle of Pa” for the season came to an end on Wednesday night. The Phillies took the season series 4 -2 with a 12-3 win. After the Pirates cut the Phillies ‘ from 3-0 to 3-2 the Phillies broke the game open with a five run fifth inning to go up 8-2. The Pirates scored one more run in the sixth to cut it to 8-3. The Phillies would add four more runs for the 12-3 final. Corey Dickerson (9), and J.T. Realmuto (20) homered for the Phillies. Josh Bell (34), and Starlin Marte (23) homered for the Pirates.
