Phillies – Braves Recap Quickie

The Phillies didn’t get the division, but they took the consolation prize by taking the season series from the Braves with a 4-1 win on Wednesday night. The Phillies lead the season series 10-8 with one more game left on Thursday afternoon. Errors by Cesar Hernandez, and Adam Haseley allowed the Braves to take a 1-0 lead in the second. Bryce Harper (32) gave the Phillies a 2-1 lead with a two run homer in the fourth. A Cesar Hernandez (12) solo home run, and a based loaded walk in the sixth put the Phillies up 4-1, and that is how it ended. Zach Eflin (9-12) 7 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 4 K. Hector Neris picked up his 28th save.
