The first game of a day night doubleheader between the Phillies and Nationals saw the Nationals win 4-1, and officially eliminate the Phillies from the playoffs. The Phillies took a 1-0 lead in the first on a Jean Segura RBI single, unfortunately the offense took the rest of the game off. The Nationals scored on a pair of Anthony Rendon sacrifice flies, a Ryan Zimmerman RBI single, and a wild pitch.
