The Flyers had a successful home opener on Wednesday night beating the Devils 4-0. Carter Hart stopped all twenty five shots he faced to pick up his first career shutout. Ivan Provorov (1) broke a scoreless tie in the second. Kevin Hayes (1), and Sean Couturier (1) scored twenty four seconds apart in the first minute of the third period to put the Flyers up 3-0. Travis Konecny (3) would make it 4-0.
