It was round two in the “Battle of Pa.”between the Flyers and Penguins on Tuesday night. The Flyers got some revenge for their 7-1 loss to the Penguins earlier in the season with a 3-0 win against their cross state rivals. Jake Voracek (10) put the Flyers up 1-0 early in the second, and James van Riemsdyk (14) made it 2-0 late in the second. Justin Braun (3) added some insurance with an empty net goal in the third. Brian Elliott stopped all 19 shots he faced for his first shutout since Nov. 10, 2018, and it’s the first Flyers shutout of the Penguins since March 15, 2017.
