The Flyers (37-20-7) extended their win streak to five games tying a season high with a 5-2 win over the Rangers (35-25-4) on Friday night that ended the Rangers win streak at five games, and road win streak at nine games. The Rangers Jesper Fast (12) started the scoring, and Brett Howden (9) ended the scoring but in between the Flyers scored five times. Sean Couturier (20), Claude Giroux 2 (18,19), James van Riemsdyk (19),and Sean Hayes (22) scored for the Flyers who fin themselves sitting second in the Metropolitan Division just three pints behind the Capitals for now. The Flyers and rangers will meet again on Sunday afternoon.
