
The Phillies kicked off the pandemic shortened 2020 season with a 5-2 loss to the Miami Marlins on Friday night. The Marlins took a 1-0 lead on Jonathan Villar’s sacrifice fly that scored Francisco Cervelli in the third. Didi Gregorius (1) tied it 1-1 with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth. The top of the sixth was a disaster for the Phillies. Jesus Aguilar (1) two run homer put the Marlins up 3-1, then would go up 5-1 after a wild pitch and a RBI double by Garrett Cooper. Didi Gregorius would score the Phillies second run in the bottom of the seventh on Jonathan Villar’s error.
