The Phillies dropped game 1 of Sunday’s doubleheader with the Braves by the score of 5-2. Vince Velasquez (4.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3BB, 6 K) didn’t pitch to bad but was taken out of the game in the top of the fifth with a runner on first and one out, and the Phillies up 1-0. In came the Phillies bullpen. Unlike Saturday night’s game where they kept the Braves off the scoreboard, the opposite happened on Sunday. Delios Guerra surrendered a two run homer to Ronald Acuna (2) and the Phillies were down 2-1. The Adam Morgan surrendered a bases loaded to Adam Duvall and the Phillies were down 5-1. Andrew McCutchen was the Phillies offense driving in both runs with a groundout in the third, and a sacrifice fly in the fifth.
