One week into the NFL season The Small sports Blog is going to take a look at some head coaches who could be already on the hot seat.
- Matt Patricia, Lions: Patricia is in his third season as head coach of the Lions. His first season (2018) the Lions went 6-10, last season thanks to an injury to Mathew Stafford the Lions finished 3-12 ending the season on a nine game losing streak. Considering how the Lions lost to the Bears in week one it’s not to hard to consider him on the hot seat.
- Dan Quinn, Falcons: Quinn took over the Falcons in 2015. After finishing his first season 8-8 Quinn took the Falcons to the Super Bowl in his second season against the Patriots and we all know what happened there, and the Falcons haven’t been the same since. His third season the Falcons lost to the Eagles in the divisional round, and haven’t been back to the playoffs since. The Falcons finished 7-9 the last two season, and are off to a 0-1 start this season. Worth keeping an eye on.
That’s it for now. The Small Sports Blog will keep it’s eye out for any more coaches that could be on the hot seat as the season progresses.
