Considering the Steelers were basically healthy, and the Eagles resembled a mash unit Sunday afternoon’s NFL version of the “Battle of Pa.” between the Eagles and Steelers looked like it would be a one sided affair in the Steelers favor. It turned out to be a better game than expected. There were some good things to take away from this game for the Eagles, and there were the usual bad things to take away from the game to. Here are some of the good and bad things from the game.

First going to start off with the phantom pass interference call that turned what probably would’ve been a Steeler field goal into a TD considering how long it took the official to throw the flag. There were a few bad calls against the Steelers to.

Miles Sanders 74 yard run to tie the score at 7-7. Sanders would carry the ball 10 times for just six yards the rest of the game.

Carson Wentz went 20/35, 258 yards, 2 TD’s, and threw two more interceptions. The first came right after the Steelers went up 24-14, and led to the Steelers taking a 31-14 lead. He did lead them back for a chance to take the lead.

Travis Fulgham -10 receptions, 152 yards, 1 TD

Jake Elliot just missed a 57 yard field goal that would have given the Eagles a 32-31 lead late in the fourth quarter.

Eagles Secondary – Soft coverage and missed tackles on third down allowed the Steelers to extend drives that should have ended into TD’s.

Jim Schwartz for putting a linebacker on Steeler WR Chase Claypool ( 7 receptions, 110 yards, 3 TD’s) on the Steelers final possession that allowed them to score and put the game out of reach.

Even though they lost to the Steelers the Eagles (1-3-1) are not out of it yet considering how bad the NFC East is this year. And now the Cowboys will be without Dak Prescott.
