Ok going to start this off by overstating the obvious, that was one ugly game between the Eagles and Giants on Thursday night. Considering how bizarre 2020 has been does it surprise anyone that for now the Eagles sit atop the NFC East with a 2-4-1 record, after a 22-21 come from behind win. The previous two weeks saw the Eagles comebacks come up just a little short, but thanks to the Giants the Eagles were able to pull it off this time. This game shouldn’t have been this close considering how the Eagles dominated the first half, but managed to leave at least nine points on the field thanks to a missed field goal, a really bad interception, and a failed fourth and goal, and two failed two point conversions. Carson Wentz went 25/43, 359 yards, 2 TD’s, and 1 interception. He also scored a TD himself. His best pass was to Boston Scott for the eventual game winning TD. The bad news from this game is that DeSean Jackson was carted off with an injury that resulted from a really late hit from a Giants defender. The funniest play of the night was Daniel Jones’s apparent TD run until he tackled himself. The defense forced three turnovers. an interception, and 2 fumbles. Anyway the Eagles have now beaten the Giants eight straight times, and stated earlier sit atop the NFC East for now. Go figure.
