The 76ers opened up their season with a 113 – 107 win over the Wizards on Wednesday night. After only scoring 15 points in the third quarter the 76ers erupted for 40 in the fourth to erase a twelve point deficit to escape with the win. Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 29 points, 15 in the fourth quarter, and 14 rebounds. Shake Milton had19 points, and Furkan Korkmaz added 11 points off the bench . Russell Westbrook had a triple double (21 points, 15 assists, 11 rebounds) in his wizards debut. Bradley Beal had 31 point to lead the Wizards.
