The Phillies made a move. The Phillies were involved i a three team trade with the Dodgers and Rays. The Phillies sent right-hander Garret Cleavinger to the Dodgers, and acquired left-hander Jose Alvarado from the Rays. Alvarado (25) posted a 2.39 ERA in 70 appearances in 2018, striking out 80, and walking 29 in 64 appearances. Alvarado has had injury problems the last two seasons. Missed a month in 2019 due to personal matters, and made two trips to the injured list because of strained right oblique, and injured left elbow. He only made 9 appearances in 2020 due to a shoulder injury. Keep the fingers crossed he can stay healthy.
